Dear Editor,
The Board of Directors of Central Yazoo Water Association, Inc., would like to take the time to express their profound appreciation for the employees of the Association who responded to the main water emergency, especially during the height of extreme weather.
During the past ice storm our staff answered the call as trees were falling and roads were impassable. These individuals showed up braving hazardous conditions to address an urgent water outage that threatened to leave neighborhoods without water. They worked through the freezing weather with professionalism and, frankly, incredible courage.
We often hear complaints when things go wrong but we seldom take the time to thank the people who step up when things are at their worst. To the technicians, field operators, and management, thank you for putting our community’s needs before your own comfort. You are true public servants and heroes.
