A Lady Raider Brynn Blackstock hit a major milestone last week against Porter’s Chapel when she scored her 2,000th career point while also helping lead the Lady Raiders to a 75-14 victory.
Leta Greco led the way, scoring a game-high 20 points, followed by Blackstock with 19, and Emma Middleton with 12.
Addy Cader and Sydnie Davis had eight apiece, Maci Lowery had six, and Ava Grace Meeks chipped in with two.
The Lady Raiders also defeated Discovery last week 63-10.
Greco and Lowery notched double figures with 15 and 13 points respectively.
Middleton added nine, Blackstock seven, Audrie Horne and Ana Paige Beith five apiece, Meeks four, Cader and Davis two each and Annalise Pierce one.
The Raiders split the two contests last week defeating Porter’s Chapel 82-33 before falling to Discovery, 65-56.
Against Porter’s Chapel, Tanner Vandevere led Benton with 21 points, Ethan Shanks had 19, and Peyton Compton had 14.
Other scorers were Riley Powell and Clayton Saxton with eight apiece, Peyton McGlawn with seven, Gabe Irwin with three, and Will Foster with two.
Shanks scored 25 points followed by Vandevere’s 19 in the nine point loss to Discovery.
Saxton chipped in with six, McGlawn added four, and Compton rounded out the scoring with two.
Benton hosts Newton Academy in Thursday before taking a break for the holidays.
They return to action 12/29-12/30 in the Canton Christmas Tournament.
