Billy Joe Franklin Sr., 84, of Bentonia, passed away on Feb. 26, 2026 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held March 2 at 2 p.m. at the Stricklin King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Franklin.
Survivors include his sons, Bobby Franklin of Bentonia, Larry Franklin of Sallis, Dywayne Franklin of Waco, Texas, Billy Joe Franklin Jr. of Belzoni, Mark Franklin of Detroit, and Bryan Franklin of Chickasaway, Okla.; daughter, Amy Franklin of Delhi, La.; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Mabel Franklin of Washington State; and loving caregiver, Joyce Blackledge.
