When George W. Bush was elected president for the second time, it sent many liberals scrambling for a psychiatrist.
I thought this was “over the top” reporting until I saw one of these neurotic liberals interviewed on TV. It is still difficult for me to comprehend that we have that many emotionally weak and grossly misinformed Americans living among us, but the sad reality is that we do.
If you have read the Drudge Report recently, you have noticed that in Washington, D. C., the media are reporting that many people are suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” I was a little skeptical of this report until I read an opinion piece by Bruce Bartlett, a Treasury Department official during the Bush Administration.
Bartlett has written a piece titled “Why the GOP must die.” After reading this nonsense, there is no other way to describe the malady that presently affects “ole Bruce” but as “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” In fact, this condition may be worse than “Bush Derangement Syndrome.”
We have all heard Trump use the terms stupid, incompetent, lazy, low-energy, little Marco, nasty-guy, liar, and a host of other derogatory terms, and I have often wondered why he spoke these words so freely. After reading what the liberals are saying, and after noting how disconnected from reality they are, I have concluded that Trump speaks the truth. Most of the modern journalists are incompetent and corrupt.
Our politicians are “stupid” for making the unbelievably bad deals they have made with trade and with Iran, and most of our politicians are lazy. Once they get to Washington, they disappear and we only hear from them when election time rolls around.
The unfortunate truth about politicians is that they all want to “feed at the trough” and get re-elected over and over again. Holding political office pays well if you can get in with the right people, lobbyist mostly, so the longer a politician stays in office, the richer he or she becomes. One only has to look at what the Clintons have done to prove this statement.
But back to Bruce. He believes that there is an “imbalance of power” in the country. Consequently, nothing is working.
He writes: “Unfortunately, what we have is a centrist Democrat Party and a far-right Republican Party. Therefore, the system is not in balance, creating gridlock even as the public cries out for action on serious problems such as our deteriorating infrastructure.”
This statement alone is enough to qualify Bruce as a candidate for the mental ward, but then he continues with this statement: “I believe that the Republicans made a deal with the devil in 2009 when they embraced the Tea Party.”
This is the final straw that proves beyond any doubt that this liberal is delusional. He needs help, and he needs it quickly. He should be aware that the Tea Party has never been embraced by the Republican Party, for what reasons I fail to understand. Republican politicians run from Tea Party advocates like they have a new strain of small pox.
Then Bruce tops off his insane rant with this statement: “The death of today’s Republican Party is therefore necessary to its survival, and Donald Trump can make it happen. That is why I voted for him.” What? You must die to live? This sounds like a suicide bomber to me.
For all of you psychiatrists out there, get ready. Business is going to be booming in the near future - especially if Donald Trump gets the Republican nomination. If he wins the race for President, then you may need to take on several new partners and expand your clinic.
There are many, many liberal Bruce Bartlett’s in America who are in the early stages of Trump Derangement Syndrome, and this is your opportunity to make a fortune. “The Donald” has to be loving this. As a businessman, he will probably want a percentage of your take. If this syndrome is as bad as I think it will be, you can probably double your prices.
