I ran into a friend of mine yesterday, and he asked me about the week I had.
“Pretty good,” I answered. I went to Meridian to see my grandson play baseball, and I’ll see him again Friday in Tennessee.

The Democrats in Congress went back to their old standby, the Russians are interfering in the election, and I have been belly laughing ever since. This assertion is not even creative or believable. It’s just funny. No one believes it!”
Most of the people who read this column are intelligent people. They are capable of rational thought, and to see the Democrats come up with the old slogan, “The Russians did it,” has to be a political joke. The Democratic Party is imploding, so it is important to change the American people’s focus. But why this? It has been tried numerous times, and Trump is still in office.
The Democrats in Washington seem to think that “Russian interference” is a new phenomenon. I have some breaking news. The Russians have been trying to influence elections in the United States since Harry S. Truman was in office. It is nothing new. What is absurd is the fact that Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC fame is calling President Trump a “Russian agent.” This, of course, is borderline insane. O’Donnell may need an attendant to ensure that his medications are taken properly and on time.
Before the disastrous Democrat debate, Adam Schiff, a man who is in need of bottles of strong medication, held a House Intelligence Committee meeting. Some intelligence agent told the committee that the Russians were in fact meddling in the election and that they were working to get Trump re-elected. Now, these proceeding are supposed to be secret. But of course, Adam Schiff, or his surrogate, leaked this information to the New York Times, and of course the crooked media spun this up like it was the end of the world. I hope that President Trump has identified the “deep state” intelligence officer, and moved him into retirement or sent him into the real world to do real work.
Only later did we find out that the Russians were, also, conspiring to help Bernie Sanders. Let’s do a test at this point. Whom do the Russians prefer, Trump or Sanders? Trump has been harder on Russia that any president in modern history. He has imposed sanctions, and kicked numerous Russians out of the country.
Sanders, on the other hand, is a professed socialist with communist leanings. He liked Fidel Castro, and thought he did a great job in Cuba. He admires the Russian political system, and even honeymooned in Russia. He is for open borders, wealth transfer, and a system by which your job is determined by bureaucrats. Education at the secondary level will be free, but, of course, he doesn’t mention the fact that very few individuals will be approved to attend college.
Now who do you think the Russians support? Bernie, of course. He is one of them. From a Russian viewpoint, he can do in four years what the Russians have not been able to do since Karl Marx proposed the Communist Manifesto.
The Democrat Party is in trouble. In fact, it has devolved into a circular firing squad. Democrats are attacking Sanders with a renewed energy because they know that he has no chance against Trump. In fact, some are saying that if he gets the nomination that the House and Senate may be lost for years to come. This is a wonderful thing! I had a great week.
