Although garbage collection is improving within Yazoo City, there are still some areas of improvement needed for the service to get completely back on track.
Many residents said they are pleased that garbage collection is returning to normal after the city gave the job to a private contractor, Waste Pro, last week.
But there some residents who said their garbage is still not being collected on schedule.
Garbage cans remained on the curb in the Enchanted Hills area as of press time. Several residents within the neighborhood said collection has not returned to normal.
Waste Pro was given the job earlier this month and began collecting garbage within the city last Thursday.
