A local store manager noticed suspicious activity from an employee, which later revealed money was being stolen from the business.
Jamul Wilder was charged with felony embezzlement after he allegedly stole money from Family Dollar, located on Broadway.
“Around $2,000 was taken from the store,” said Police Chief Andre Lloyd. “The manager called us with their suspicion, and the investigation soon led to an arrest.”
Lloyd said only cash was being taken from the store, not merchandise. He also added that the money had not been recovered.
