Officers were able to put two burglary suspects behind bars this week.
Wilbert Sulton, of 727 Seventh Street, was charged with burglary, breaking and entering a commercial business.
“Sulton was arrested after officers received a call of a possible burglary at Sherwin Williams, located on Calhoun Street,” said Chief Andre Lloyd. “Sulton was shortly caught with items from the business in his possession.”
Sulton’s bond was set at $30,000.
James Robinson, of 1122 Lamar Avenue, was charged with burglary, larceny, and failure to comply with officers.
Lloyd said Robinson was arrested last Monday on a warrant from a burglary that occurred on Jan. 14.
“Robinson has had multiple encounters with the Yazoo City Police Department,” Lloyd said. “He is currently being investigated for other similar crimes within the city.”
As of press time, Robinson’s bond had not been set.
