Two suspects are behind bars after allegedly shooting a Yazoo City man down after an altercation.
Patrasheon Swinson and Jamerio Collum were both charged with attempted murder.
Captain William Nevels said the shooting occurred last week on Martin Luther King Drive in Yazoo City.
"All this stemmed from an earlier altercation, Nevels said. "The victim was shot several times, but he was able to identify his shooters."
Thanks to the victim's identification and tips from the community, officers made the arrest of the two juveniles who are being charged as adults.
Police Chief Ron Sampson said this case is still being investigated, and Swinson and Collum could be facing additional charges related to this case as more details are uncovered.
Both suspects remained in jail at press time
