Two juvenile suspects were arrested in connection to the Delta Ace burglary that resulted in 12 stolen guns landing in the streets.
As of press time, the suspects were being charged as juveniles.
Those charges could be upgraded with the suspects being charged as adults pending action from the courts. The Yazoo Herald does not identity juvenile suspects.
"Thanks to several tips from the community, it led us to question and ultimately arrest these two 16-year-olds," said Captain William Nevels.
Chief Ron Sampson added that two of the stolen guns from the local business were recovered, and the investigation continues for additional suspects.
Delta Ace Hardware was recently broken into twice over the same weekend.
Owner Sean King said suspects ripped open the rolldown door at the front of the store with a crowbar. They then beat through a thick door window.
“Both nights they got in the exact same way,” King said. “They were even wearing the same things. It’s obvious that it’s the same people doing this.”
