A Yazoo County man remains behind bars after allegedly raping a child over the course of at least a year.
Jimmy Allen, 34, was charged with six counts of gratification of lust and six counts of unnatural intercourse.
Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said the female victim was 11 years old at the time of the assaults.
“The victim told family members about the assaults,” Gann said. “The family then made a report to the Department of Human Services and the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department. There was enough probable cause and evidence to issue a warrant for his arrest.”
Gann said an investigation with county officials and child advocate agencies continues in the case.
“Based on our investigations, we have discovered that the abuse has been going on for at least a year, with six separate incidents,” Gann said.
