Two Louisiana men were arrested in Yazoo City this week after officers discovered close to 4,000 Ecstasy pills inside their vehicle.
The pills can sell from $20-$30 each.
Stanley Lias and Kentrell Augustus, both of Baton Rouge, were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
During a routine traffic stop Monday, officers discovered 3,731 Ecstasy pills inside their vehicle. A handgun was also recovered from the vehicle, which will enhance the criminal charges against both men.
Lias was also wanted on an aggravated assault with a firearm charge from Louisiana.
Both men are awaiting initial appearances in Yazoo City Municipal Court. Lias is also being held pending extradition.
Ecstasy is a synthetic drug that is chemically similar to both stimulants and hallucinogens, producing feelings of increased energy, pleasure, emotional warmth, and distorted sensory and time perception.
