Two suspects from a house burglary that happened in May are in custody.
Deputies with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department arrested Walter Allen and Maurice Booker last week after an investigation identified them as the suspects in a burglary that occurred on Gentle Ben Avenue in Yazoo City.
Sheriff Jake Sheriff said five stolen guns, three rifles, a shotgun and a muzzle loader, were recovered.
Allen was charged with burglary, possession of stolen property and sale of stolen property. He also had a warrant for his arrest from the Yazoo County Circuit Court.
Booker is charged with possession of stolen property and sale of stolen property.
“It’s always good to be able to make an arrest in a burglary case, but it’s even better when the stolen property is recovered,” Sheriff said.
