Thanks to the arrival of medical records and locating the suspect’s whereabouts, a Yazoo County man is behind bars for a 2017 drunk driving accident.
Joseph Campbell, 36, is charged with felony aggravated driving under the influence.
Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said this case was a long investigation stemming back to late 2017.
“Campbell hit a woman head-on while driving on Eden-Midway Road,” Gann said. “He was intoxicated at the time of the accident, and the woman continues to deal with life-long injuries as a result of that accident.”
Campbell was arrested at his home on Highway 49.
