The body of an elderly Bentonia man was discovered in Yazoo City over the weekend, and the investigation continues to determine his cause of death.
The body of Eddie Smith, 86, was found behind Broadmoor Apartments near a railroad station Sunday.
Chief Jay Winstead, of the Yazoo City Police Department, said an investigation continues to determine a cause of death.
"It is unclear at this time if there was foul play," Winstead said. "He was prone to wandering off, and he suffered from dementia and other health problems."
Winstead also said an autopsy will be performed.
