Some Yazooans feared that McDade’s Market was closing when they saw the sign being removed from the storefront.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
The work being done to the storefront is the latest in a series of upgrades the store has received, and most of those upgrades have been focused on improving service and expanding the products offered.
“Yazoo City has been very good to our business, and we are showing our appreciation by investing in the store,” said Kathy McDade.
All of the freezers and refrigerated cases in the store have been replaced with new models. The registers have been moved forward several feet to allow the shelves on the aisles to be expanded.
“That allows us to have room to add additional products,” McDade said.
The renovations also include cosmetic changes such as replacing tile and the storefront upgrade. The work was done in stages to avoid interfering with heavy traffic during the holidays.
McDade said that once the work is complete there will be special sales to celebrate the store’s improvements.
