The husband of the nurse who drowned when her car was swept off a flooded Leflore County highway Wednesday is furious the road wasn’t blocked off before his wife reached the life-threatening stretch.
And he says he’s planning to sue the Mississippi Department of Transportation and two county governments over her death.

Delays on parkway construction, Wal-Mart

Construction workers on the Willie Morris Parkway have packed up and moved for now, but they will be back.

That's the word from Public Service Commission (PSC) Engineer Wayne Morrison, who said Tuesday that the workers left last week even though the weather has been perfect for construction.
