An Arkansas woman was arrested in Yazoo County after she allegedly brought a large amount of drug-laced candy to sell in the area.
Angela Bang, 27, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said he received a tip that Bang would be traveling in the area in possession of candy laced with Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC.
“I knew that she would be coming from Arkansas, and I knew her route,” Gann said. “I waited for her until I saw her vehicle, and then I pulled her over. She admitted to having the narcotics. She even opened her trunk and handed them over to me.”
Gann said it was about two pounds of the drugs inside her vehicle.
