Bob and Jaunee Barrington flew to Hawaii to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
They left on Christmas Day, 2015 and were there for 14 days. A trip of this kind had been on the couple’s “bucket list” for quite some time.
While there, they visited four islands which were O’ahu, Kaua’l, the Big Island and Maui. There were many beautiful sights to see and places to visit such as Pearl Harber, The Dole Pineapple Plantation, Polynesian Cultural Center and a Macadamia Nut Farm.
They said there were beautiful waterfalls everywhere and flowers and foliage so beautiful, it was hard to believe some of them were real.
One day, while driving down the street, after experiencing one of the island’s frequent rain showers, the couple saw most beautiful double rainbow appeared.
They also took a boat ride and did a little whale watching.
They celebrated their actual wedding anniversary, which was on Dec. 30 at one of the favorite restaurants on the islands called the Eating House by Roy Yamaguchi. They had a fantastic two weeks in paradise and are already planning a return trip in the very near future.
