A Yazoo County man died Monday morning after being thrown from an ATV he was driving.
Lavon Edwards, 69, was driving on Andi Road off of Old Tchula Road in Yazoo County when he apparently lost control of his four wheeler near his yard.
Investigators believe the four wheeler flipped on the pavement.
Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers said Edwards suffered a traumatic head injury.
“He was pronounced dead on the scene when Medstat arrived,” Shivers said.
Edwards was remembered by friends as a Christian man who cared deeply about his family.
Funeral services are Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Jennings and Rev. Luke Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
