There is a diagnosis used by psychiatrists known as the passive-aggressive disorder.
I once had a client who had been diagnosed with "passive-aggressive personality." In my judgement, this individual was not only ready to go to work, but was qualified to hold down most jobs that were readily available.
He talked well, he was intelligent, he had academic skills, and there were no physical impairments. I went out and found a job for this individual, a good job, a job that would help him pay the bills.
To tell the truth, I was proud of myself for getting this individual back into the workforce. I dropped him off at his new employment site and headed for my office. About 30 minutes after reaching my office, the front door swung open. It was my client. "I can’t do that job," he said, shaking his head. "Did they mistreat you," I asked. "No, they were nice, but I just can’t do that job. Too much stress. It’s not my fault. I quit."
When he left, I pulled his records just to refresh my memory. There in the record was the diagnosis "passive-aggressive personality."
Being young and curious, I pulled all the records that showed a "passive-aggressive personality." As I recall, there were a total of twenty-six. I reviewed every case in detail looking for the type of job they were doing. To my surprise, not a single one was employed, but they claimed that it was not their fault. I later asked our psychologist how I could get these individuals to go to work. He laughed. "If you find out, let me know. The truth is not their friend."
James Comey testified last Thursday about his knowledge of the "Russian hacks." He also testified about his nine conversations with President Trump. I watched this hearing in shock. Comey has all of the indications of a passive-aggressive personality. He testified that everything he did was proper and legal, and his whole motivation was to protect the reputation of the FBI.
That sounds good, but Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee was to protect James Comey. He testified that he never made notes after meeting with George Bush and Barack Obama. In fact, he said that he "felt uncomfortable" being left alone with Trump.
Remember this is the man who hid in the curtains at the White House and pleaded with Jeff Sessions to not leave him alone with Trump. Trump was his boss. Comey was a part of the executive branch of government. Did he think that President Trump was going to "body slam" him? President Trump was his boss.
Before the Good Lord and everyone in America, he admitted that he was weak, couldn’t think on his feet, made up strange meanings to Trump’s words, called Trump a liar, then acted like a wimp when discussing his firing. Comey is a sophisticated bureaucrat. In his testimony delivered by an establishment wimp to a panting group of questioners, it was clear to see that he was protecting James Comey. If the President had demanded that he stop an investigation, his answer should have been, "Mr. President, I can’t do that, but if you order me to do it, you will have my resignation on your desk the first thing tomorrow morning."
He admitted that he was no "Captain Courageous" to one of the Senators, then followed that up by saying he was "weak." He wanted to elicit sympathy. He wanted everyone to feel sorry for him so that he could maintain his reputation as an "honest bureaucrat." He threw Loretta Lynch under the bus by saying that she did not want the Hillary Clinton E-mail investigation called an investigation, but instead, call it a "matter."
How many other things did Loretta Lynch tell him to do and he did not have the guts to resist. His excuse for publicly laying out the case against Hillary Clinton was blamed on the Lynch-Clinton tarmac meeting in California just prior to the election. A man this weak had no business being the Director of the FBI.
Comey was so angry about being fired that he even leaked classified information. Bureaucrats operate under a different set of rules than the private sector employee. Comey typed up his notes on a government computer while still on government time in a government car. Those notes belong to the government, not Comey.
I predict that he will rue the day his little passive-aggressive mind told him to disparage his former boss. Comey testified that these notes were released to a professor who was told to get them into the media. There is a problem. The New York Times published excerpts from Comey’s notes before they were given to the professor. Lie number one.
Comey thought Hillary was going to win the election so he wanted to get the bad stuff out long before November 8. He wanted Hillary to win. Instead of President Trump having a problem, it may be that this "passive-aggressive, stab you in the back lying bureaucrat Comey" may be the one with the problem. It is easy to see why President Trump put this wimp in the road.
