America is changing, and changing rapidly. Illegal immigration has seen to that.
Take for example two states that are now extensions of Mexico - Arizona and California. The great State of Texas is not far behind.
The United States has seen an unarmed invasion for the last 12 years. This covers the last four years of the Bush Administration and the eight years of the Obama Administration. I don’t have any idea why Bush would not enforce our immigration laws, but I understand exactly why Obama thought it was a good idea to allow anyone and everyone to come to the United States. He thought DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) was a good idea. This program allowed illegal aliens to bring their children into the country. The Democrats claim that there are about 800,000 children who must take preference over American children and be given citizenship. Well, 800,000 illegal DACA "children" is just a starting number. The real number of illegal children is closer to 3.6 million, and the number is growing.
California may be a lost cause. This state is being run by people who don’t have a clue about what they are doing, and to make matters worse, they are turning California into a third world country. California is now a sanctuary state. This means that state and local law enforcement agencies will not assist federal authorities arrest and deport criminal aliens. Governor Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown has taken the position that California has the right and obligation to do what it wants to do regarding illegal immigration. One might look at California and conclude that it has already seceded from the Union. One mayor said that she would go to jail before assisting the Federal authorities arrest and deport illegal alien criminals. I say that is a wonderful position for a public servant to take. Perhaps 10 years in a federal prison in "the pit of misery" will help her discover the error of her ways.
Mexico is moving north. Illegals are fast changing the demographics in Arizona, California, and even Texas. The Democrat Party loves this because they think generous welfare payments will insure that the Democrat Party continues to grow and elect more corrupt politicians to office. Soon they hope that the entire country will look like the dysfunctional State of California.
Jeff Sessions, to his credit, has looked at this business of "none cooperation with the federal government." Federal law requires state law enforcement officials to cooperate with the federal government in the enforcement of immigration laws. Attorney General Sessions has said that any local official or state official who fails to comply with federal immigration laws faces the strong possibility of being arrested. Great! If an illegal alien has been let out of jail and commits a murder or some other heinous crime, not only will the local law enforcement official be arrested, but state officials may be charged with a crime. California is out of control, and I think that Governor Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown should be cited as an example should a situation like the Kate Steinle case arise. We are a nation of laws.
No matter how strongly one might disagree with the law, the only way to deal with the situation and change the law is to go through the legislative process. If lawmakers change the law, then the people, through their duly elected representatives, have spoken.
If we don’t get illegal immigration under control, we will cease to function as the United States as we have known it. Illegal voters will elect representatives who will expand the welfare rolls and implement socialism, and this vicious invasion of illegals who have no understanding of the American culture, will continue. In California and Arizona, most of the grade school children do not speak English. Why are we educating children who are not supposed to be in this country? It makes no sense.
President Trump is doing his very best to get a handle on this growing catastrophe. This may be our last chance to get this problem under control. It is clear that the Democrat Party thinks more about the welfare of illegal aliens than it does about the children of American citizens and our fighting men and women.
We cannot solve Mexico’s problems. We cannot solve South America’s problems which are many. But for the continued health of this nation, we must stop illegal immigration soon or we will become Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, or some other dysfunctional country where armed revolutions occur regularly. President Trump deserves our support.
