If you grew up in the South, you probably remember your mom and dad telling you to “do the right thing.”
Most southerners my age went to church at least three times a week, and we heard the same thing from the minister. This was all a part of developing a conscience, that inner voice that tells us the difference between right and wrong.
In today’s world, we have individuals who make a good living muddying the waters between right and wrong. No matter what the issue is, someone will put a spin on it that stands the truth on its head. The disturbing truth about this is that many people will believe the spin. Hillary Clinton is a classic example.
For the life of me, I cannot understand why Hillary is still in the predidential race. Scandals follow her like a bloodhound, yet she continues to trudge onward, similar to a boxer who is so tired that he cannot lift his arms. He has lost the fight. He just has not crashed into the canvas.
“Do the right thing” does not apply to Hillary. Look at her history. There is a reason why she is not trusted by millions of people throughout this nation. Even members of her own party distrust her.
But believe it or not, things may be getting worse.
The e-mail scandal just will not go away. Every two or three weeks, a new batch of e-mails are released, and each week, we discover that many of these e-mails were classified documents, some so classified that the investigators had to get a higher security clearance before they could read them. We know with a reasonable degree of certainty that her e-mail server, the one in the bathroom closet, was hacked by the Russians and Chinese. The Russians and the Chinese were reading the same mail that Hillary was receiving and sending.
Apparently, Hillary had violated State Department protocol for one reason, and that was to keep people from knowing her activities with the Clinton Foundation. The Clinton Foundation is a scam thought up by the Clintons to become rich. They could provide certain information to other countries for a sizeable “donation” to the Foundation. This information was so sensitive that it allowed other countries, some antagonistic, to know our foreign policy strategy. There is some speculation that the documents that were classified above “top secret” contained the names of foreign operatives who were collecting valuable information abroad.
With all of this damaging information piling up against Hillary, you would think that the leaders in the Democrat Party would want to do the “right thing,” and insist that Hillary withdraw from the presidential race. If you thought that, you, of course, would be wrong. Instead they are Democrat Party are “spinning” like windmills doing everything in their power to shield Hillary from the crimes she has committed.
Mishandling classified information is a crime. Using classified information to further the cause of the Clinton Foundation is a crime. Every time Hillary speaks, she tells a new story about the e-mails. “I did not send or receive materials marked classified.” Of course this excuse does not hold water. She was the Secretary of State for the United States of America. Anything that she sent or received could have been classified. We just don’t know the extent of “this mishandling of information.”
The Democrat Party should do the right thing and withdraw its support of Hillary Clinton. Anyone who has no more regard for “classified information” as Hillary is not qualified to be President of the United States.
General David Petraeus mishandled some documents when his biography was being written. Look what happened to him. The punishment was swift and sure, and his career was ruined. Hillary must face the same fate, and the charge against her must be led by Democrats. The Democrat Party must “do the right thing.” Otherwise, I beginning to believe that come November, the Republicans may take 47 states, just as one political pundit has predicted.
On second thought, it may be just fine to let Hillary “twist in the wind.”
