On July 17, Sandy Creek High School’s Chandler Tuitt committed to Ole Miss to further his football career.
The 6-foot-4, 270-pound lineman has played offensive tackle throughout his high school career, but he could make the move inside to guard at the collegiate level if called upon to do so.
Tuitt has stated that “whatever position assigned, [he] will play.”
Despite offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, South Carolina, and Tennessee, Tuitt chose the Rebels of Ole Miss due to its “F.A.M.I.L.Y.” atmosphere.
“Ole Miss was one of the first schools that showed an interest and has been there from the start,” Tuitt said. “In addition to both an outstanding academic and football program, they stress family which is extremely important to me. Ole Miss states it clearly... Faith, Attitude, Mental Toughness, Integrity, Love and You.”
Tuitt is a 4-star recruit on 247Sports.com and ESPN, where he is a member of the ESPN Top 300, and a 3-star recruit on Rivals.com and Scout.com.
The senior from Georgia plans on majoring in business administration.
Tuitt is the son of Yvette and Nelson Tuitt of Fayetteville, Georgia. He is the grandson of Lurley Fouche' (Hermand Bennette, Jr.) and Charles Hammond of Yazoo City, Miss.
