Richard Jennings “Cat Daddy” Moore, 53, of the Phoenix community in Yazoo County passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 13, 2018.
Visitation and services will be Wednesday, October 17 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with visitation starting at noon until the 2 p.m. service. Rev. Josh Matthews and Rev Darby Holes will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Jennings was born July 11, 1965 in Kenner, La. He was a retired lineman and a Baptist.
Cat Daddy was preceded in death by his birth parents James and Frankie Reeves; his mother and father William and Violet Moore; brothers, Mike Henderson, Kenneth Henderson and Daniel “Little-man” Henderson; and by his father-in-law, Tommy Burchfield.
Survivors include his wife Lisa Moore; son, Andrew Moore of Los Angles, Calf.; daughters, Heather Moore and Brittany Moore, both of Phoenix; two grandchildren, Anna Catherine Heathcock and Collier Rhea Heathcock; mother-in-law, Carol Furguson Burchfield of Jackson; brother-in-law, Larry A. Fortune of Madison; sisters, Kristie Green (Bo) and Hattie Estell Hull both, of Brandon, Elaine Moore of Delhi, La. and Angelia Moore of Texas; brothers, Damon Henderson of Bentonia, William Jennings Moore Jr, Andrew Moore and Michael Moore, all of Texas.
The Family has entrusted Stricklin-King Funeral Home of Yazoo City with the arrangements.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Drew Goodwin, Mitchell Goodwin, J.T. Pettis, Chad Whitworth, Kevin Henderson and Kenneth Henderson.
Honorary pallbearers are Mitchell Wayne Jenkins, Troy New and Max New.
