Maggie Jenkins McDaniel,79, of Benton, MS, passed away at her home Saturday, May 21,2022. Maggie was retired operator with Southern Bags of Yazoo City, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hanson and Mamie Ables Jenkins; her husband, Carl McDaniel; son, Carl McDaniel,Jr.; sisters, Lottie Moon and Mary Malone. She also was preceded in death by her brothers, Hanson Jenkins, Sr., Ben Jenkins, Burl Jenkins,Terry Jenkins, and James Jenkins.
Maggie is survived by her daughters, Gail Jenkins ( Lamar) of Greenwood, MS, Judy Tyler ( Danny) of Bentoria, MS, Mary Lou Daves of Blackhawk,MS.
She is also survived by her brothers, Joe Willie Jenkins, Hubert Jenkins, Billy Ray Jenkins, Paul Jenkins, Carl Jenkins, and Michael Jenkins (Sherry) all of Lenwood, MS, and Jerry Jenkins ( Debra) of Bentonia, MS. There are also eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren who were special to her.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 26, at 2 PM from the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, MS with visitation beginning at Noon with burial at Seneasha Cemetery near Goodman, MS.
Pallbearers are Bert McDaniel, Sr, Ken Daves, Ben Jenkins, Payne Tyler, Justin Tyler and Adam Cook. Honorary pallbearers are Gage Cortez, Mark Wiggins, Michael Skinner and Lessley Malone.
