Kay Ingram Shackelford , 64, passed away Sunday, the ninth day of January 2022, at Hospice Ministries where she had been a patient for the last five months. Kay was born on April 28, 1957, to Jeff O. Ingram and Dennie Alderman Ingram.
For over twenty-three years, Kay owned and operated a successful hair salon in Yazoo City. Prior to her owning her own business, Kay attended Delta State University to further her talent and study of art. She was a great artist who could take a pencil and make an inanimate object appear real. More than life itself, Kay loved her family and was very proud of each and every one of her boys and grandchildren.
Kay is survived by her loving parents, Jeff and Dennie Ingram; her three sons, Brandan (Robin), Reeves (Martha), Hunter (Allie); her granddaughter, Ava; and her two grandsons; siblings Jeffrey (Tracie) Ingram and Pamela (Pope) May.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday January 11, 2022 at Fletchers Chapel United Methodist Church. Reverend Chancellor Pope May, Kay's nephew, will be officiating the services. Reverend Jason Zeebert will assist. Musicians are Melissa Selby and Beverly Taylor.
Pallbearers are Brandon Coleman, Tee Coleman, Hunter Shackelford, Reeves Shackelford, Blake Coleman, and Ward Coleman.
Memorials can be made to Fletchers Chapel United Methodist Church or The Gideons International Yazoo Camp. The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, food, and support during this loss of our dear Kay-Kay.
