Francis Marion “Frank” Tindall Jr., 84, died June 5, 2018 at his home in Bentonia.
Funeral services were Thursday at Indianola City Cemetery with Rev. Trent Sligh officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mr. Tindall was born Jan. 11, 1934 in Sunflower to Dr. Francis Marion Tindall Sr. and Idabelle Fox Tindall.
Frank attended Melrose Baptist Church. He went to Texas Military Institute in San Antonio, Texas and was General Douglas McArthur's escort for the period of time General McArthur was on campus.
Frank was a farmer, rancher and owner / founder of R & M Electric in Bentonia for 55 years.
Frank believed with all his heart and instilled in his family “your word is your character and your devotion to family is immeasurable” Papa's love for the Lord was always present. We rejoice in the fact that we will all be reunited with Papa when God calls each one of us home.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Patsy Louise Wilkerson (Steve), Beulah Fox Brannan (Billy) and Nancy Ann Cox (William); and a granddaughter, Kristin Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Mabus Tindall; daughters, Douglas Tindall Williams (Mark), Elizabeth Tindall Bell, Frances Tindall Dawkins and LeLouise Tindall Davis (Rodney); six granddaughters, two grandsons, and two great- grandsons.
Serving as pallbearers were Mark Williams, Beau Bell, Nicholas Reynolds, Rodney Davis, Bradley Bell and John Morrison.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Long, Carl Wright, Walt Tradrick, Paul Lungrin, James Small, Harold Day Perry and David Tadlock.
