Albert Woodley Cook, Jr. 93 of DeLand, Fla. passed away December 15, 2016 in DeLand, Fla.
Mr. Cook was born in Midnight, MS on September 4, 1923 and was a long time resident of Yazoo City. Albert was a US Army Air Corps Veteran and was a member of the Eighth Air Force Society. He worked as an auto mechanic and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Yazoo City.
Albert loved camping, carpentry and being with his family. Survivors include his daughter Chrystie Cook Brooks of Howey in the Hills, Fla.; sisters Rosemary Idom of West Memphis, Ark. and Jackie Windham of Laurel; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 20 at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Online condolences may be made at www.allensummerhill.com. Allen-Summerhill DeLand, Fla. is in charge.
