The suspect behind firing shots at a local park during recent Little League games continues to allude officers.
Myquon N. Carter is wanted on charges of drive-by shooting, stalking, domestic violence and discharging a weapon within city limits.
Chief Ron Sampson said Carter has been not arrested as of Thursday morning.
“We have been receiving several sightings, both inside and outside of the city,” he said. “Unfortunately, he remains on the run, but the reward for his arrest is still out there.”
There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
Shots were fired at the Wardell Leach Recreational Complex last week from a vehicle while youth baseball games and softball practices were being held. No one was injured during the incident.
The incident began at the basketball courts, located within the park. Since the shooting, the goals have been removed. Officers were also heavily visible during recent Little League games earlier this week.
Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for any tips that could lead to Carter’s arrest. Call 746-TIPS to report tips.
