The Yazoo County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) in partnership with the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) announce their Local Work Group (LWG) meeting.
The meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Yazoo County Soil & Water office at 220 Wyeth Drive, Suite C Yazoo City MS 39194.
LWGs are designed to gather input from constituents and conservation leaders throughout each county to determine natural resources issues and priorities.
Some of the items that will be discussed include:
* The work and successes that have already been done in the county;
* Seek to identify the best investments that can be made to address natural resource problems;
* Prioritize and rank criteria that will be used to address local issues;
* Discuss strategies for strengthening conservation education and awareness, and other issues impacting conservation organizations.
