A 19-year-old man will serve three years in jail for his connection in a 2018 deadly shooting in Yazoo City.
Kerril Ross pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated assault in Yazoo County Circuit Court last Monday. He was sentenced to ten years in a state prison with seven years suspended.
Ross was arrested in June of 2018 and charged with assault in connection to a Prentiss Street shooting.
Tandre Weekly, 19, was found in the street by police officers but died shortly after being placed in an ambulance. Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers said Weekly died from a single gunshot wound.
