On Friday MSDH is reporting an additional 1,005 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and six related deaths occurring between November 25 and November 26. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 148,387, with 3,769 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 65 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and six deaths. There are currently 193 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
Yazoo County now has 1,542 confirmed cases and 39 deaths reported to be related to COVID-19.
