Jerry Simmons Burton, 78, of Bentonia passed away Tuesday January 12, 2021 at ST Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. He was retired as a Carman with Canadian National Railroad, a Veteran of the U S Army, and a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son; Jay Burton of Bentonia, daughters; Reshawn Saxton of Bentonia and Kim Creel of Flora, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and a brother Frankie Burton of Bentonia.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife; Linda Gail Simmons Burton, and a granddaughter Veda Garner.
Services under the direction of Stricklin King Funeral Home will be held Friday, January 15 at Central Baptist Church with visitation starting at 1:00 P.M. follow by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Scotty Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Central Holmes Cemetery.
