William “Bill” Lassiter Smith, 65, of Louise died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his home.
Graveside services will be Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home, with Brother Jim Ingram officiating.
Mr. Smith was born January 12, 1955 in Vicksburg, MS to the late Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett Wade Smith, II.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Smith of 29 years; his brother, Bartlett Wade Smith, III (Eloise) of Louise; sisters, Marie Smith of Diamondhead and Sally Smith of New York City; nieces, Vanessa Stark (Jonathan) of Madison and Susan Spencer (Woody) of Indianola; nephews, Wade Smith (Ashley) of Madison, Clayton Smith (Mary Lucia) of Madison, Michael Lance Brooks (Crystal) of Kersey, CO, Christian Green of Brandon, and Caleb Green of Brandon; great-nieces, Mary Clayton Brewer, Lucy Smith, Anna Grace Smith, Emory Green, and Elizabeth Green; great-nephews, Watson Brewer, Bartlett Wade Smith, V, Walker Smith, William Thomas Stark, Talyn Short, and Kayson Green; brother-in-law, James Green (Kristie) of Brandon.
Serving as pallbearers are Clayton Smith, Sam Smith, Ruffin Smith, Ed Jordan, Richard Green, Darrel Holaday. Honorary pallbearers are Wade Smith and Danny Fulton.
Bill was known for his love for Cindy, his brother, sisters, family, his beloved Saints, the life of New Orleans, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and his little man, Will Thomas Stark, who affectionately named him BB. He had an infectious chuckle and smile that radiated to all those around him. He never declined a reason to celebrate life and enjoy those dear to him.
