Barbara W. Hicks, 79, of Wesson, formerly of the Mechanicsburg Community in Yazoo County passed away at her residence in Wesson Saturday January 30, 2021. A homemaker she was a member of Sylvarena Baptist Church in Copiah County.
Survivors include her daughters; Melissa Michelle Tanksley of Wesson, and Laneita (Elwin) Gary of Bentonia, son; Robert Hicks, Jr. of Fairbanks , AL, 13 grandchildren,12 Great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Hicks, Sr., a daughter; Karen A. Hicks, 2 grandsons; Charles A Scarborough, and Kevin Munn, a son-in-law Randy Potter,and a great grandson Carter Gary.
Private family graveside services will be conducted Monday February 1st in Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City under the direction of Stricklin King Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are; Sebastian Luke, Zachary Luke, Hunter Hicks, Jordan Ward, Jadon Hughes, Tommy Potter, Jason Gary, and Josh McClintock.
