The Mississippi Supreme Court will soon decide the fate of the state’s medical marijuana program and the ballot initiative process after a busy day of oral arguments Wednesday.

Decisions are issued by the court every Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and Chief Justice Michael Randolph promised a quick decision in the case.

Captain William Nevels, with the Yazoo City Police Department, said the shooting occurred around 3 a.m. on North Cherry Street.

19-year-old charged with capital murder

Alonzo Alexander is charged with capital murder. 

Felton was found dead of gunshot wounds outside of Oakhaven Apartments, where he resided, early Wednesday morning.

After a team of firefighters responded to an unattended pot of hot dogs on the stove, police officers executed a search warrant that led to a major drug bust.
