    Two men are dead following a shooting at a local pool hall during the early morning hours.

    Police Chief Kenny Hampton said his officers responded to the shooting at Junior’s Bar and Lounge, located on Kohlman Street in Yazoo City, around 4:15 a.m.

  • Two men dead in chase that ends in Vaughan

    A car chase from Holmes County ended in the Vaughan community leaving two Pickens men dead from multiple gunshot wounds. 

    Terry Gann, chief deputy with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said the incident occurred on May 27 around 5 p.m. and ended near Vaughan and Bennett Road.
