Margaret Phillips Manor, 79, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 15, 2021.
She was born February 23, 1942, in Isola, MS to the late Melvin Vernon Phillips and Ethel Pace Phillips. She grew up in the Wolf Lake Community and graduated from Louise High School. Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening. She was a member of Melrose Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Hugh Franklin Manor of Yazoo City, three children: Sharon Riddle (Craig) of Madison, Tina Manor (Eric) of Kingwood, Texas, and Steven Manor of Ridgeland. She is also survived by her brother; William Phillips (Patsy) of Brandon and longtime friend Barbara Logan of Yazoo City and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; Vernon Phillips and James Edward Phillips, sisters; Mary Emma Adams and Etta Mae Barnett.
Visitation will be Monday, July 19 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Stricklin King Funeral Home with service to follow, and burial will be at Fletcher’s Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jason Zebert will officiate.
