Evielee “Carolyn” Leverett, 89, peacefully passed away on the morning of July 21, 2021, at Martha Coker Green House Homes.
She was born March 19, 1932 to Willie and Clara Blackwell. Carolyn was the youngest of five siblings all raised by their mother, as her father passed away when she was only three months old.
Carolyn grew up in Holly Bluff, MS where she met and fell in love with her late husband of 37 years, T. J. Leverett, Together they raised four children, Theresa, Virginia, Terry, and Todd.
She was a librarian at Holly Bluff Consolidated School and also drove the school bus for many years. She was also a substitute Teacher at Bentonia Gibbs for several years before retiring.
Carolyn was laid to rest at 11 am. on July 22 next to her husband in Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin King Funeral Home.
She will be truly be missed.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband; T.J. Leverett and oldest daughter Theresa Ables.
She is survived by her daughters Virginia and Sodie Hearn, and two sons Terry and Chriss Leverett and Todd and Misty Leverett, 8 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
