Miss Marlee Jean Mood to wed Stephen Jay Stiglets Jr. March 23
Mr. and Mrs. James Timothy Mood of Benton, formerly of Madison, announce the engagement of their daughter, Marlee Jean Mood, to Stephen Jay Stiglets, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Jay Stiglets, Sr. of Gulfport. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Melba Mood and the late Mr. James “Jim” Mood of Yazoo City, and Mrs. Sue Fouche’ and the late Mr. Phillip “Pete” Fouche’, Sr. of Benton. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Ms. Peggy Ward-Stiglets and Mr. William Douglas Stiglets, and Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Dowdy all of Gulfport.
Miss Mood is a 2011 graduate of Benton Academy. She attended Jones County Junior College and graduated from Mississippi State University in 2015 with a degree in political science. At JCJC, she was elected Miss JCJC and was recipient of the Gold Key Award for Leadership Excellence. She is a Program Specialist with the Southern Mississippi Planning Development District in Gulfport.
Stiglets is a 2012 graduate of Gulfport High School. He attended Jones County Junior College where he played short-stop for the Bobcats and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2017 with a degree in business administration. Stephen was on the dean’s list at both JCJC and USM. He is an Account Executive with The Coast Radio Group in Gulfport.
The couple will exchange wedding vows March 23, at 5:00 p.m. at the White House Hotel in Biloxi with a reception following. The Reverend Ed McDaniel of Madison will officiate.
Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple will reside in Gulfport.
