Liddon and McWhorter to exchange vows July 14

Mr. and Mrs. William Clark Liddon of Yazoo City, Mississippi are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Liddon, to Marks Stimson McWhorter, son of Mr. and Mrs. David John McWhorter of Jackson, MS. Lauren is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Joseph Alias and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Flint Liddon, Jr. Marks is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John McWhorter and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Stimson.

The bride-elect is a 2013 honor graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi earning a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in marine biology. Continuing her education at the University of Southern Mississippi, she also earned a Master of Science in 2017. Lauren is a natural resource scientist at the Pickering Firm, Inc. in Flowood, Mississippi.

The future groom is a cum laude graduate earning a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in environmental science in 2010 from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also earned his Master of Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2014. Marks is the Chair of the Science Department of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

An intimate wedding ceremony will take place on July 14, 2018 at Lake Thoreau Environmental Center with a reception to follow at The Venue at the Bakery Building in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
