Rae Holland Cox is the five-year-old daughter of Matt and Amy Cox. She attends Benton Academy and is in the 5K Class. Rae goes to Black Jack Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoys gymnastics and being a cowgirl. She also loves to play with her dogs and cows. She leads her cousin’s cows and has shown in pre-showmanship for two years.
Anna Bryce Meeks is thefive-year-old daughter of Matt and Maegan Meeks. She attends Black Jack Church and Benton Academy. She is in the 5K in Mrs. Shannon’s class and loves her teacher. She was picked to be a R. A. D. Raider-which stands for A REALLY AWESOME DUDETTE; which stands for always tries to do their best in all things. She enjoys watching YouTube Kids at her D. D. and Bop’s house and helps feed the dogs. She also enjoys playing with her brother and sister. With a huge grin on her face, she says her favorite thing to do is to “Pick up the House.”
Junior Princess Contestants
Addie Coleman is the nine-year-old daughter of Ward and Blanton Coleman. She attends Parkview Church of God. Her school is Tri-County Academy, where she is in the third grade and is on the all “A” honor roll. She enjoys cheering, dancing, hunting, riding her four- wheeler and helping out (when she can) at her Memaw’s and Pepaw’s restaurant.
Lindsey Hogue is the 13-year-old daughter of Nicole Hogue and is in the seventh grade at Benton Academy, where she is a member of the Jr. High basketball team, the softball team, cross country track, and is a cheerleader. Lindsey was valedictorian of her sixth grade class and has continued to earn all As during her first semester of Jr. High and is a member of the Student Council. Lindsey enjoys helping her JayBubba with her pigs and JoJo with her horses. She also enjoys playing with her cousins and riding her horses at any chance she gets.
Ava Grace Meeks is the 10-year-old daughter of Matt and Maegan Meeks. She attends Benton Academy and is in the fourth grade. She is a peewee cheerleader and plays basketball. She is a member of the R. A. D. Raiders and has maintained an all A average since the first grade and continues to work hard at maintaining this run. Ava Grace enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoys taking care of her animals, especially her pigs and horses. She also likes to go to the pool in the summer. Her other hobbies include jumping on the trampoline and shooting hoops at home.
Isabella Magyar is the 12-year- old daughter of Chad and Chasity Magyar. She attends Benton Academy where she is in the seventh grade. At Benton Academy she is a member of the basketball team, cheerleader, fellowship of Christian Athletes, and excels as a member of the track team. She is also a member of the Student Council as class officer and a member of the all “A” honor roll. Her hobbies are reading the Bible, painting, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. Bella really enjoys running with her mother and having her mother cheer her on as she represents her schools as a member of the track team.
Mary Tyndall Odum is the eight-year-old daughter of Joe and Phylis Odum. She attends Bentonia Gibbs Elementary School and is in the third grade, participates in the gifted program and is on the chess team. Last school term, she received the citizenship award, the creative writing award and was student of the month in May 2019. This school year she is a member of the basketball team and the Baby Blues cheerleading squad and cheers at home games. Mary Tyndall is also a member of the co-ed soccer league where she really enjoys playing. She is a member of First Baptist Church and is active in Awana’s and Wednesday nights Children’s Ministry Program. Mary Tyndall has participated in under age showmanship since she was three and shows pigs, lambs, and goats. She enjoys working at the barn and taking care of her animals. Mary Tyndall’s hobbies are playing outside with her three dogs, jumping on her trampoline, painting, crafting, playing board games, and watching musicals. She really enjoys attending football, basketball and baseball games to cheer her school on, GO PANTHERS!
Mary Rogers Ross is the 9-year-old daughter of Kevin and Anne Ross. She attends Tri-County Academy and is in the third grade. At Tri-County, she is a member of the Rebellettes and all A honor roll. She is also a member of the First Baptist Church in Flora. Mary Rogers’ hobbies are riding her Ace around the pasture, cheering, swimming, playing with lambs, playing with her friends, hunting with her daddy, crocheting hats, spending time with family and watching YouTube.
Maggie Ryan Nelson is the 14-year-old daughter of Krystal Ivers and the granddaughter of Eddie and Dayna Nelson. She attends Harris Christian School and is in the ninth grade and is on the all A Honor roll for the past three years. Her most recent achievement has been holding the title of Jr. Miss Yazoo County. Maggie Ryan attends Midway United Methodist Church. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing, modeling, work with her show pigs, and spending time with friends and her church youth group.
Kayelouise Purvis is the 14-year-old daughter of Hardy and Holly Purvis. She attends Benton Academy and is in the eighth grade. At school, she is a Jr. High Cheerleader, member of the varsity Basketball team (Received Queen of the Paint Award), softball, track (Best in Field Events), member of the student council and has been a member of 4-H for seven years. She is also a member of Blackjack Baptist Church. Kayelouise’s hobbies are hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Jewell Vandevere is the 16-year-old daughter of Bubba and Jana Vandevere. She attends Benton Academy and is in the eleventh grade. At Benton Academy, she plays basketball, track, cross country, cheerleader, class president, member of the honor society, and is on the all “A” honor roll. Her hobbies include playing with animals, hunting, hanging out with friends and supporting/cheering on Mississippi State University. Jewell’s future plans are to further her education at Mississippi State University. GO DAWGS!
