After the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department received a video that captured abuse of an animal, an arrest soon followed.
Patrick Nelson was charged with cruelty to animals last Thursday.
The video, which has also been circulating on social media, shows a dog held inside a cage being repeatedly kicked while the suspected abuser records the entire act.
“We received the video of Patrick Nelson repeatedly kicking a dog while in its cage,” said Sheriff Jeremy McCoy. “We appreciate Mr. Nelson for giving us all the evidence needed to address this crime. Whether it’s running a stop sign or aggravated assault, if you ask for my attention, you’re gonna get it.”
