We would like to congratulate the Benton Academy Lady Raiders in their exciting run for the softball state title. Their journey ended last weekend, but their representation of our community will remain long after the season ends.
We have provided sports coverage to many of the Lady Raiders over the years. Some were even included in Little League coverage several years ago when they first embarked in the youth softball circuit.
This year’s team embodied the makings of a successful group, and we are excited to see what the future holds for them.
We were also impressed to see the support of students from other schools within our community. Many of these girls have played together since they were children. And their support from the stands speaks volumes of their character as true athletes.
Join us in recognizing these impressive athletes who not only represented the sport but our community as well.
