Wanda Kaye Adams Hilderbrand passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, with her family by her side. She is in the arms of Jesus surrounded by the ones she missed and loved for so long.
Wanda was born on December 1, 1959, to William “Bill” Adams and Ada Neoma Davis Adams. She graduated from Benton Academy in 1977 where she was named sophisticated senior. She was also a part of the beta club and the high school chorus. She was a devoted member of Scotland Baptist Church where she served in several roles. She was also a homemaker.
In 1993, she married C.D. Hilderbrand, Jr. They were married until his passing in 2023. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Dana (Trey) Pierce of Belzoni, MS and Amber (Mark) Aylesworth of Bentonia, MS; one son, Steven (Jess) Carter of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Kalyn (Gage) Jones, John Anthony Johnson, Aubrey (Anna Lauren) Pierce, and Ada Klare Pierce; great-grandchild, Parker Jones. She is also survived by her siblings, Sandra (David) Carpenter of Benton, MS and Dennis Adams of Canton, MS.
The visitation for Wanda will be held at Scotland Baptist Church in Bentonia, MS on February 5, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a graveside in the Scotland Cemetery all which are under the direction of Stricklin King Funeral Home. Bro. Earl Reyer and Bro. Glenn Allen will officiate.
Pallbearers are Mark Aylesworth, John Anthony Johnson, Trey Pierce, Aubrey Pierce, David Carpenter, Brian Carpenter, and Drake Carpenter.
The family would like to thank everyone for the texts, calls, and prayers as well as the staff of Accent Care Hospice.
