A juvenile suspect has been charged in connection with a Yazoo City shooting yesterday that left another juvenile with a leg wound.
Nolan Warrington, with the Yazoo City Police Department, said the shooting occurred Sunday on Calvin Street in the Jonestown area.
“A juvenile suspect fired a shot at another juvenile, but that juvenile moved out the way,” Warrington said. “That shot ended up striking another juvenile in the leg, based on the information we have received.”
The juvenile suspect has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
The victim did receive medical treatment and remains in stable condition.
“This is still an ongoing investigation,” Warrington added. More information will appear in the print edition of The Yazoo Herald.
