Raiders improve to 7-0 in conference

Benton Academy had a mixed weekend on the diamond with a win over Carroll Academy on Thursday and a loss to Central Hinds on Friday before finishing things off with a 16-3 defeat of Central Holmes Christian School on Monday, bringing their conference record to 7-0.

Lady Panthers take two from Lady Indians

Yazoo County High School’s softball team did a number on Yazoo City High School on Tuesday, winning both games of a doubleheader 17-2.

In the top of the first inning, Cree Williams and Samantha Morris each scored, giving the Lady Indians a 2-0 lead.

Unfortunately for the Lady Indians, it was all they would score.
