The Indians of Yazoo City will enter the playoffs as the number three seed from their district after edging out Rosa Fort 28-27 on Thursday night.

The win brought Yazoo City’s final regular season record to 6-4.

Rosa Fort provided the Indians with a number of challenges in what was a tale of two halves.

Benton Academy's season ends in battle with Sylva Bay

The football season came to a close for Benton on Friday night when they fell 34-24 to Sylva Bay.

Before that outcome, however, Benton threatened to win the game in every way.

A heavy run game in the first half proved to be difficult for Sylva Bay to defend.

At the half, Benton held onto a 14-8 lead.
