Sheriff Jeremy McCoy said the suspect involved in this morning's standoff situation at a county apartment complex has been apprehended and charged.
Zedrick Grady Jr. was charged with two counts of kidnapping and trespassing.
Local Yazoo County deputies, assisted by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations and Mississippi Highway Patrol Swat team, responded to a hostage situation early this morning at Oakhaven Apartments. Two female hostages, who were inside the home, safely escaped as law enforcement continued their efforts to apprehend the suspect who remained inside the home, possibly armed.
Grady was taken into custody about 11:15 a.m. with no injuries reported at the scene.
